Alex Losett works at the intersection of painting, collage, sculptural relief, and installation. The artist has straddled two continents and three cultures, obtaining graduate degrees in fine art on both sides of the Atlantic. She completed postgraduate fellowships at the Creative Studio for Outstanding Young Artists in St.Petersburg, Russia and the International Studio and Curatorial Program in New York City. Her latest exhibitions were at at St. Joseph’s University and at the Gray Gallery in Philadelphia.
Losett's work embraces postmodern vocabulary and discourse, and builds on her deep cultural roots and has recently attracted coverage by The Artblog (theartblog.org), Philadelphia City Paper, and by City Suburban News. The artist currently lives and works in Philadelphia.
