The Appreciative Eye
Wars, Natural Disasters, and National Parks

Photographs by Zack Frank

February 6 - 20, 2011
Sugar Grove native Zack Frank's photographs have been published in places as diverse as his camera's subjects. His work has appeared in National Geographic and Stars and Stripes magazines, and reveal an eye which can find beauty even when surrounded by catastrophe. These are not, generally speaking, troubling images, but rather reveal the insistence that beauty can be found not just in our National Parks, but even in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, and war-torn Iraq.
This special show of sixty photographs will be at the Crary Art Gallery for two weeks, so don't miss it!
