Lainard Bush makes exquisitely composed paintings that dazzle the eye. His paintings fairly pulsate with life, organically growing from a geometric gridwork on the canvas. Patterns emerge and dissolve in the many layers of color he applies.
The artist says that, "like a beautiful and complex garden, each completed canvas is a self-contained universe that invites one to take a visual journey of playful exploration."
Originally from Ohio, Bush received his Master of Fine Arts degree from the San Francisco Art Institute. After then living in Florida for a few years, he relocated to northwestern Pennsylvania, where he continues to make his paintings full-time and show them nationally.
The artist will be present for the opening reception, Friday, December 10, 6-8pm.
